Our caregivers
The person in your parent's home matters most.
Every Admiral Home Care caregiver is a certified, background-checked employee, matched to your parent and supervised by our registered nurse.
Who comes to your door
Experienced, checked and trained before they ever meet your parent.
You're trusting someone with your parent and their home. Here's what every Admiral caregiver brings, before their first shift.
-
Experienced
We hire experienced caregivers and verify every reference.
-
NJ-certified
Every aide is a Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide (CHHA), licensed by the NJ Board of Nursing.
-
Background-checked
State certification requires a criminal background check with fingerprinting. Before anyone enters a client's home, we also verify their CHHA certification with the NJ Board of Nursing, check references, search the national sex offender registry and the federal healthcare exclusion list, and confirm ID and work eligibility.
-
Thoroughly interviewed
Every caregiver goes through our in-depth interview process. We dig into how they've handled real situations, from a fall to a hard day with dementia, not just what's on their résumé.
-
Trained as part of onboarding
Every caregiver completes our comprehensive training program as part of onboarding, including dementia-specific training for those who care for clients living with dementia.
-
Supervised by our RN
Our registered nurse writes the care plan, checks in regularly and visits the home to make sure it's working.
-
Our employees, not contractors
Caregivers are W-2 employees on our payroll, not contractors. We handle payroll, taxes and workers' comp.
-
Matched to your parent
We match on language, personality, skills and location, and introduce every caregiver in person first.
How we match
Matched to your parent, not just to an open shift.
- 1
The RN visits
At the RN home visit, our nurse learns your parent's needs, routine, preferences and personality.
- 2
We pick a caregiver
We match on language, personality, schedule and skills.
- 3
A small team that cares deeply
We introduce every caregiver in person before their first shift, and we keep your parent's team as small and consistent as possible.
- 4
Not a fit? We rematch
Tell us and we'll change it, no questions asked. We'll work quickly to introduce someone new.
Why we started
We're a family that needed this, too.
Our family needed care for our mom. We called agency after agency and learned how hard it is to find caregivers you trust.
We started Admiral Home Care to be the agency we wished we'd found.
